{"id":573,"date":"2022-05-24T11:56:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-24T11:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.chartworld.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=573"},"modified":"2022-08-18T10:51:35","modified_gmt":"2022-08-18T10:51:35","slug":"major-enhancement-chartworlds-information-overlay","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"\/web\/news\/major-enhancement-chartworlds-information-overlay\/","title":{"rendered":"Major Enhancement of CIO+"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ChartWorld is proud to<em>&nbsp;<\/em>announce an immediate enhancement of the data distributed in ChartWorld\u2019s Information Overlay Data Service, CIO+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CIO+ delivers T&amp;P Notices to Mariners and navigational warnings in ECDIS user-chart format (also known as Mariners\u2019 Notes or Maps). It is also compatible with the most popular ECDIS models. We have now added the following data to the CIO+ Navigational Warnings Database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Greek Warnings<\/li><li>Turkish Warnings<\/li><li>MENAS (Middle East Navigation Aids Service)<\/li><li>Northern Sea Route West &amp; East<\/li><li>Chinese Warnings from 33 Coastal Administrations of China MSA.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>CIO+ obtains data from T&amp;P Notices to Mariners, Coastal and Local navigational warnings, and NAVTEX (in some areas); then it adds these elements to navigational warnings obtained from NAVAREA Coordinators. This makes CIO+ NAVAREA a powerful combination of input sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following data sources have been incorporated into the CIO+<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>T&amp;P Notices to Mariners, issued by UKHO, China MSA, China NGA, Indian HO, and Colombian HO<\/li><li>Warnings and Notices issued by 21 NAVAREA Coordinators<\/li><li>Coastal and Local Warnings issued by 125 Coastal Administrations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ChartWorld\u2019s data team consists of professional hydrographers, cartographers, and experts in geomatic science. The team continuously performs a gap analysis, to define any important navigational information absent from the official ENC data. This analysis is directed at further extending the data sources used for CIO+ production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>On the picture: Left \u2013 Navigational Warnings, published by Shanghai MSA Coastal Administration on the MSA website.&nbsp;&nbsp;
